A rare Blue Blood Moon was seen over Dubai, UAE skies on Wednesday evening and lots of people went out to catch the rare moment. (It was not very clear over the cloudy skies, but over 500 residents came out to capture this beautiful scene). The Blue Moon in Dubai was actually a lunar eclipse which stays for almost three minutes for the residents of Dubai.
And HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, was one of them. =)
He posted this amazing and mesmerizing Video of the rare moon behind the Burj Khalifa on Instagram.
The CEO of Dubai Astronomy Group Mr. Hassan Al Hariri told Gulf News:
“In Dubai, if you are in Burj Khalifa, you have the advantage of seeing the total eclipse approximately one minute ahead of everyone else in Dubai,” he added.
“If you are in Fujairah, you will see the total eclipse two minutes earlier than everyone else in the country and will have a longer time to see it – about five minutes – because you are closer to it.
